Initiatives for ISO

We have built and operate an integrated management system based on the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) 
and ISO14001:2015 Environmental Management System (EMS) standards.
The integrated management system is applied to the Tokyo head office, Osaka office, Nagoya office, Sendai office, and Taiwa site, 
accurately grasping the needs of customers (and local communities), and satisfying and trusting customers (and local communities). 
We will continue to develop and fulfill our social responsibilities.

Quality/Environmental Goals

We maintains a healthy global environment while conducting sales, import/export business, development design, manufacturing contract,
and material procurement of products (semiconductors, electronic components, materials, modules, systems and solutions) handled in Japan and overseas.
Also we have established the following policy with the aim of ensuring quality that always satisfies our customers.

Basic management policy
As a trading company with a manufacturing function, we aim for sustainable development by ensuring quality that always satisfies our customers
while giving due consideration to the sound maintenance of the global environment.
Compliance with laws and regulations
Comply with domestic and international environment-related laws and regulations, such as hazardous chemical substances, as well as international rules
and practices, and conduct corporate activities that meet the demands of society.
Continuous improvement
In order to improve our activities related to quality and the environment, we will maintain and continuously operate a sound management system.
Consideration for building a low-carbon society and a recycling-oriented society
Promote energy conservation, aim to reduce greenhouse gases, and strive to mitigate and adapt to climate change.　
In addition, we will actively work on resource conservation, waste control, recycling, etc., and strive to use sustainable resources and respond to resource depletion.
Environmental Consideration in Business Activities
Strive to protect the environment and prevent environmental pollution, and promote business activities that consider the protection of biodiversity and natural ecosystems.
Dissemination of quality and environmental policies
We will disseminate this quality and environmental policy to the entire organization of our company and ensure that each officer and employee fully understands it.

The Kanematsu Group aims to take on social challenges based on a broad view of international society in order to create new markets and value. In this way we seek to contribute to the global environment, sustainable social development, and the growth of the Kanematsu Group.
We established five key issues (Materiality) that the Kanematsu Group needed to engage in through its business operations.

Materiality１_ Building a Sustainable Supply Chain

We will respect the environment and human rights, communicate with diverse actors in society, and realize stable and sustainable procurement, supply, distribution, and services together with our partners and customers.

Provision of digitized cloud service for industrial LP gas Delivery Receipts
Contributing to the digitization of invoices and the reduction of manpower and man-hours using tablet terminals and cloud servers
Cloud-based business management system for poultry farming
Realization of digitalization of daily reports, reduction of man-hours, and real-time "data visualization"

Materiality2_ Decarbonization Initiatives

Aiming to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions, we will promote our clean fuel and renewable energy business to contribute to the mitigation of global warming.

Decarbonization/low carbon initiatives for the entire supply chain
Consideration of low-carbon fuel (hydrogen) for outsourced logistics trucks
Contribute to low-carbon products by reducing the amount of electricity used by electrical products
Proposing low power consumption products at the customer's development stage
Management of chemical substances contained in products and prohibited substances, compliance with laws and regulations
System operation, management, and maintenance by dedicated personnel
Obtained secondhand dealer license
Promote the 3Rs (reduce, reuse, recycle) to build a sustainable supply chain

Materiality3_ Mutual Development with Local Communities

Through our global operations, we will support the lives of people around the globe, work on improving social infrastructure, and contribute to the sustainable growth and development of local communities.

Try not to use minerals that are complicit in human rights violations
For responsible mineral procurement, as one of our responsible supply chains, we investigate whether there are illegally mined minerals such as tantalum, tin, tungsten, and gold, and report them to our customers

Materiality4_ Creating an Environment that Enables Diverse Work Styles

We will create a work environment that encourages each individual to leverage his or her unique talents and qualities, supporting diverse work styles. Furthermore, we will improve training programs to develop managers capable of creating and expanding businesses.

A flextime system is available for employees raising children who have not yet completed elementary school
Implementation of skill improvement seminars
By holding regular skill-up seminars for all employees, they raise their work skills and their motivation

Materiality5_ Enhancement of Governance and Compliance

We will maintain a robust supervisory system to prevent accidents and fraud and aim for a sustainable growth through transparent disclosure of information to stakeholders.

We are working to comply with laws and regulations and prevent accidents and fraud by holding skill improvement seminars as one of our ISO promotion activities
